Day 1
We held our creative weapons, widely known as film equipments, and went to Rashid Center. Rashid Center hold Disabled people since they are young and raise them in the needed way so they can mentally fit their ages. We reached at 10 as planned, got the first negative sign of the day immediatly. The general manager told us we have 1 hour and 30 mins ONLY to film inside. We planned to shoot three interviews ( two painters and their teacher) and observational shot of the center. There's no way on earth we shoot these as we want to in 90 mins ( including setting up the equipment and what so ever..) I told my DOP that this idea was our last plan because we ran out of time and the deadline for submission is few weeks away, so let's shoot whatever we can and try to do our best in post production.
The result at the end of the day is absoluetly nothing from what we imagined. As a group we were proud that we worked hardly on working very fast to shoot all the takes we want, but not proud of the final footage ( lighting and script wise ) It was a hard day for us, we went out of the place with a full on negative attitude. We had a meeting in SAE and we decided to forget what happened and focus on our next day to at least produce something close to perfect. Our spirits were not brought down and we REALLY want to work hard on our next day.
