First Day Of Shooting
We finished our auditions! out of 15 actors, we chose our main 8 characters and 2 extras. All the decisions were made after a long discussion the group had. Afterwards, we got ready for our shooting and started the first process of our production phase. For our first day, we had to film only two interior scenes. These two scenes held interviews between our primary and secondary actors. At the beginning, shooting went smooth and we applied our call sheet perfectly were actors came on time and the group members reached before 30 minutes to prepare the camera, lights, and props. First scene took us more than an hour to finish each detail, but I found it normal because its widely known that any crew would face some troubles before they get into what they're shooting. Also, actors created a chaos atmosphere as they kept laughing, speaking loudly, and not taking our project seriously. Some of the other actors stayed pushing me and putting a lot of pressure so we could finish that day of shooting as soon as possible because of Ramadan and lack of sleeping. Luckily, I managed to get all the actors on the same page and spoke with them seperatly so we can move to a serious and commited atmosphere. After shooting our B-Rolls for scene two, we started gathering up all our equipments and organized a meeting afterwards to review the footage we took. That day was full of experiences, and in my personal point of view it was important for me because it made me learn to solve issues and stay positive under any pressure we might face.
